Tikir Robot

Deleting your Tikir Robot account

You can delete your parent account and all of your child's records on the server in the app. If you can't use the app, you can send your deletion request by email.

1Deleting in the app

Deletion is done inside the app, in version 4.0.0 and later. An internet connection is needed.

  1. Open the app and tap the Settings button or the gear icon. Enter your PIN to open the Parents' Corner.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Read the question and confirm the deletion. Your account is closed right away and you are signed out on this device.

If you don't see the Delete my account button, update the app. If you can't update it, use the email option below.

2What is deleted, and when

Right away

  • Your account is closed; it can no longer be used to sign in.
  • You are signed out on all devices.
  • Teachers lose access: the consents you gave are withdrawn, and teachers can no longer see your child's records.

After 30 days

  • Your account is permanently deleted: email address, password hash and the consents you gave.
  • All of your child's records on the server are deleted: game answers, and teachers' assessment notes and skill scores.
  • Records in the school panel are deleted too: the link to the school, teacher assignments, and the games and learning series chosen by teachers.
  • Deleted records cannot be recovered.

Permanent deletion happens automatically 30 days after your request; you don't need to do anything.

What is not deleted

  • Data on this device. The child's name you entered in the app, the settings and the game records on this device are stored on the device, not on the server; deleting the account does not remove them. On iPhone, iPad and Android they are removed when you uninstall the app.
  • Record of the deletion. The dates of the request and the deletion, and a hash generated from your email address (not the address itself), are kept so that we can show that the deletion was carried out. This record contains none of your child's game answers or assessments.

3If you can't use the app

If you use an older version of the app, no longer have the device the app is installed on, or can't sign in to the app, send your deletion request by email.

Tikir Robot account deletion request

Account email address: …

School (if the account was created through a school): …

I would like my Tikir Robot account and all of my child's records to be deleted.

Write the email
  • If possible, send the email from the account's email address. If you write from another address, we may ask you some questions to confirm that the account is yours.
  • Do not include your password or PIN; we never ask for them.
  • Your request is carried out within 30 days at the latest, and we reply to you by email. Your account and all of your child's records on the server are permanently deleted.

4If you change your mind

If you change your mind within 30 days of your deletion request, write to us by email. At your request, we can reopen your account; your records will then not be deleted.

You sign in to the reopened account again with your email address and password. Teacher consents do not come back on their own; if you wish, you can give them again in Parents' Corner > Account.

After the 30 days are over, the account can no longer be reopened and deleted records cannot be recovered.

5Families using the app through a school

If you created your account with an invitation code from your school, you can still delete it yourself in the app; the steps and timing are the same as above.

After your request, teachers can no longer see your child's records. Your school's administrator continues to see your child in the school panel until the 30 days are over, and can delete your child with all of their records right away. After 30 days, all of your child's records in the school panel are deleted.

For school accounts, your school is the data controller (Privacy policy, section 1). You can also send your deletion request to your school.

If your child uses the app only at school, with the school's account, and you don't have a parent account, ask your school to delete the records: the school's administrator deletes the student with all of their records in the school panel.
